ELIGIBILITY
The Trust may provide training support to:· All Full Time Reserve officers who have not yet entered the FTR Development Programme
· Regular Serving officers with at least 20 years service completed, who have not yet been accepted for voluntary severance, and who have an intention of leaving the Service within five years
· Medically retired officers who are in temporary employment, or who have been in permanent employment for less than 12 months
· Retired officers – excluding those:
o who have not yet reached their second anniversary of leaving via the Voluntary Severance Programme,
o those who have been in part or full time permanent employment for more than 12 months
o those who have been self employed for more than 2 years
· RUC GC and PSNI Widows (excluding Discretionary Grant funding)
· Family members may be eligible for business related courses only when working as an integral part of a PRRT client’s business
· Non-eligible police officers may fund themselves on PRRT academic courses where places are available.
NB: Members who are receiving support in either of PSNI’s Severance Schemes have their career guidance and training and education needs met under the terms of each scheme, and therefore cannot access PRRT’s core Careers Guidance and Personal Development, and Training and Education Services until they reach the second anniversary of leaving PSNI. After this time, former members are welcome to approach PRRT if they have outstanding needs.
