PRRT Celebrates 25 Years of Service
On 5th June 2024, the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT) held an event in Maryfield to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.
In attendance was Naomi Long Justice Minister, Hugh Widdis Permanent Secretary, Dr Norry McBride Chief Executive of PRRT, Michelle Larmour Chair PRRT, Chris Todd PSNI Deputy Chief Constable.
Along with PRRT staff, guests from across the policing community gathered together to mark the occasion. Attendees included representatives from the PRRT Board, PSNI, Police Federation Northern Ireland and a number of Police stakeholder organisations along with clients who have used the services of PRRT.
Attendees were also treated to a performance from the PRRT Choir.
PRRT have been delivering specialist care to the retired and wider police family for 25 years.
Speaking after the event, Dr Norry McBride said:
“We are pleased to celebrate this significant moment in PRRT’s history alongside our colleagues from across the justice family. We are immensely proud of this organisation and what is has been able to achieve for our policing family across Northern Ireland. We have gone from supporting 10,000 officers to now operating a range of medical and support services across DoJ departments and agencies.”
