PRRT’s Vital Work Praised by Justice Minister

On 27th November we were delighted to welcome the Justice Minister to our premises at the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT) to showcase the vital support services we provide across the justice family.

Minister Naomi Long praised our efforts, stating: “PRRT quietly provides a crucial service to organisations across the criminal justice system – having helped thousands of people with physical rehabilitation and mental health support, and to transition from working in the criminal justice system into civilian life.

“I am delighted that my Department is able to support PRRT and I want to thank them for their commitment to the wellbeing of those working across the criminal justice system.”

During her visit, the Minister met with our dedicated staff who deliver a wide range of services, including psychological therapy, physiotherapy, coaching, training, and qualifications to a number of organisations within the Department of Justice.

Dr. Norry McBride, CEO of PRRT, commented: “Since 1999, PRRT has been providing medical and support services to numerous organisations within the sector. We were delighted to host the Minister of Justice at Maryfield, where she met our senior management team and staff members who continually provide a comprehensive range of health and wellbeing services.”
